Both Harborough Band and Harborough Training Band rehearse in the music room at Welland Park Community College, Welland Park Road, Market Harborough, LE16 9DR (see map). Harborough Training Band rehearsal times: Tuesday evenings from 7:00pm till 8:00pm Harborough Band (Senior Band) rehearsal times: Tuesday evenings from 8:00pm till 9:30pm, and
Thursday evenings from 7:30pm till 9:00pm. Occasionally rehearsal times and venues are changed, so please contact the band secretary to confirm.

Chris Groom has been the band's musical director since 1991, and has built on solid foundations to achieve the position the band currently enjoys.
Chris is the son of Trevor Groom, renowned as one of the country's best Euphonium players. After leaving school, Chris joined the Scots Guards, when he trained at Kneller Hall and played French Horn for 6 years. On leaving the Guards, he spent 8 years with Championship Section Bands in Yorkshire. He then returned to the Midlands and joined the GUS Band, where he played Principal Horn for five years. Chris currently works as a peripetetic music teacher at Loughborough Grammar School, Loughborough University and Kimbolton School and is well respected throughout the musical community.
