Band hit the top note

Harborough Band have hit all the right notes, by qualifying for the National Finals in Harrogate for the second year running, and securing promotion to the First Section.

Following our 2nd place at the Midlands Area contest in March this year, not only have Harborough Band secured another trip to the National Finals in Harrogate in September for the second year in a row, but have also secured promotion to the first section as of 1st January 2009. Mark Stamp - Band President is over the moon at the bands' latest success. The achievement is down to all involved in the band. Every player plays a part in securing the result at a contest, as well as all the people behind the band who provide support through out the year. Well done to everyone involved. Even the people who put their loose change into our collecting boxes whilst we brave the cold walking the streets carol playing each year play a small but vital role in ensuring the band continues.
